Siwanoy’s 5th graders celebrated their moving-up ceremony in the Pelham Middle School gym on June 22, marking an end to their time in elementary school. During the ceremony, students shared memories of Siwanoy and students read speeches, including “Thoughts on Moving Up” by Emily Dougherty & Oliver Dannecker and “It Couldn’t be Done” by Edgar Albert Guest before diplomas were distributed. Remarks were also given by Principal Farid Johnson and Dr. Cheryl Champ, Superintendent of Schools.
