5th grade DARE graduation Our fifth graders wrapped up their Drug Abuse Resistance Education program this past week. This program, spear-headed by our own Pelham Manor Police Department, brings awareness to our 5th graders about the effects of drugs and alcohol. At the end of this program all of our 5th graders attend a DARE graduation and receive a completion certificate. Thank you to our stellar 5th grade team, Adele Reynolds and Micky Katz, for their dedication to this program every year. ![]()
Spelling Bee on Monday, January 13, 2025 Our Annual Siwanoy Spelling Bee will be on Monday, January 13th at 3:15pm in the gym. Special shout out to Brianna Infante for spear-heading this year. We are really excited!
This upcoming Wednesday, January 15th, we will be having a 1:00pm dismissal, right after lunch, for our professional development. Thank you so much, in advance for picking up your child on time so that we can make the most of our afternoon. 3rd Grade Orchestra Play-In on Thursday, January 16, 2025 Parents and students are invited to join us at 6:30pm on January 16th in the Hutchinson gym for our 3rd grade district "Play In". This is a time to share our songs with each other, and to play some music together. Ms. Bean is trying this new format in an effort to reduce performance anxiety at the building events to promote district-wide connections with the evening events. What a great idea! No siblings, please. Grit is the ability to keep trying and persevere towards long-term goals, even when things are difficult: Grit is like keeping at it when learning to ride a bike, even if you fall down a few times.
Please register your incoming kindergartener as soon as possible as it helps us to get a handle on the number of kindergarten classes we will have in the upcoming school year. Kindergarten registration 2025
