Dear Siwanoy families,
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Did you know that belief in leprechauns likely stems from Celtic belief in fairies— tiny men and women who could use their magical powers to serve good or evil? In Celtic folktales, leprechauns were cranky souls, responsible for mending the shoes of the other fairies. Who knew?
I do know a child asked me if I was the leprechaun that came into her classroom the other day. I replied "If so then I must be in the Guiness Book of World records as the largest one in history!"
Lastly, Ramadan begins on March 22nd. May this Ramadan bring joy and peace to those that observe the day.
Siwanoy Upstander Gallery Walk
Thank to all that were able to make the gallery walk and took time to view some of the art work during your parent/teacher conference. The teachers and students worked hard to make everything special. Even the word special is an understatement. The positive feedback from this gallery walk was truly amazing and inspiring. Our belief here at Siwanoy, of course, has been "everyday a better you", and being an upstander goes hand and hand with that mantra. Our students and community are primed and ready to take their upstander responsibilities to the next level!

THIS EVENT IS ORGANIZED BY THE "WE ARE SIWANOY" COMMITTEE
The "We Are Siwanoy" Committee was formed under the belief that every Siwanoy family should feel seen, heard and valued. Through community engagement, projects and events, we work to share in and celebrate what makes our Siwanoy community special.
