Principal’s Message

Dear Siwanoy,

Teacher appreciation week kicks off on Monday and I just want to say how lucky I am to have such an amazing team here at Siwanoy. They know they do not just need a special day/week to know how much we appreciate them for the amazing work they do on a daily basis. I would also like to take this time to thank the rest of our fantastic staff members as well!

Special shout out to Tara Petrillo, Fabiana Fusco, Rachel Gould and Danielle Ganpat (not pictured) for giving us these gorgeous bulletin boards in honor of teacher appreciation week next week.

Sincerely,
Farid Johnson

Word of the Month - Patience

Patience refers to the ability to wait for something, especially something we want, without becoming upset or complaining. Developing patience allows us to keep a clear head when thinking through and solving problems. Patience is an important characteristic to have when working with others.

Our 3rd Annual Siwanoy CultureFest was amazing.  Thank you to everyone who came.  It was so nice to see so many of you out on such a beautiful night.  And that rap number.....  Special shout out to Julia and Mirielle for leading the way in the organization and coordination of such an amazing event. This experience continues to grow and that is a direct reflection of our community and what we deem important and impactful.

Important safety reminder
When we have a big event, like we did last night at CultureFest, please do not allow your children to come to school with bikes, scooters, anything with wheels.  If this is their only mode of transportation to the event, we ask that they are parked immediately upon arrival. We really appreciate your help with this.

Please remember to fund your child's NutriKid/MySchoolBucks accounts
Now that we are in the final stretch of the school year, please remember to add additional funds to your MySchoolBucks account.  This is especially true if your child orders two lunches.  If you do not have enough money in your account then that child will only get one lunch.  You can carry any remaining balance over to the Middle and High Schools.
What is My School Bucks and how do I fund the account?
www.MySchoolBucks.com is a payment website which interacts with the Nutrikids point of sale system.  On the site, parents fund their student’s account and view purchase transactions.  Alternatively, send in a check made payable to PUFSD Cafeteria Fund.
